A coach is destined to fail if he bases success on wins and losses instead of improving each player’s skill. Your job as a coach is to teach boys and girls how to play the game of hockey and instill a love of the game that will last a lifetime.
If you give children the basic skills, and let them play the game, they will always have fun win or lose because they have the ability to play the game! As coach you must take advantage of all the resources available to you.
EYHA can and will supply guest instructors for your practices to aid you in teaching the basic hockey skills. We want to help all our coaches now and in the future by providing you with a system to build better hockey players!
